FAQ

The following are a list of frequently asked questions about BodyTalk. We trust the answers we have provided here will help you in your understanding of this fantastic healing system, however, if you would like to talk to a practitioner please use the Skype Chat module on this page to make direct contact with us.

  • Are BodyTalk practitioners psychic? +

All humans have psychic abilities, but in BodyTalk the practitioner combines her learned skills with her intuition, which is supported by the neuro-muscular feedback.
  • Are there any side effects of a BodyTalk session? +

People generally leave a BodyTalk session with an enhanced sense of well-being and relaxation. Detoxification or release symptoms may sometimes be experienced after chronically heightened levels of stress. If you have any concerns, please discuss with your BodyTalk practitioner.
  • Can I receive BodyTalk sessions instead of seeing a doctor? +

BodyTalk works effectively with any current healthcare programme you may be following and assists with reducing side effects and improves efficacy. BodyTalk practitioners don’t prescribe or diagnose and will not advise you on your medical treatment. BodyTalk is not a substitute for medical treatment. Medical concerns should be addressed by a qualified physician.
  • Can someone be over-treated? +

No, the treatments in the session and the timing in between the sessions are determined by your body’s unique requirements.
  • Does BodyTalk interfere with my religion? +

BodyTalk is a healthcare system and not a religion. BodyTalk respects all beliefs. BodyTalk can lead to greater self-awareness, which in turn can expand and deepen your faith.
  • How do remote sessions work? +

If you, your child or your animal are not able to visit the BodyTalk practitioner because travelling is a problem, the practitioner can do a remote session. This works on the discovery that every human and every animal has a unique frequency. A BodyTalk practitioner has had training in tuning into that unique frequency. The results of a remote session are as amazing as a session done in person.
  • How long between sessions? +

The practitioner will recommend when your next session should be. This will be based on your current session.
  • How long does a BodyTalk session take? +

A session will take about half an hour to an hour
  • What do I need to wear and shall I prepare for my session? +

You don’t need to prepare anything. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and a consent form. BodyTalk sessions take place fully clothed. You can either sit in a chair on lie on a treatment table during a session.
  • What is the cost of a session? +

Each BodyTalk practitioner establishes their own fee structure. Please contact your chosen practitioner.
  • What is the difference between Certified BodyTalk Practitioners, BodyTalk Practitioners, Advanced BodyTalk Practitioners and PaRama Practitioners? +

Practitioner Levels BodyTalk Access Technician BodyTalk Access was developed for the lay person or as a one-day introduction to the larger BodyTalk System. While someone who has taken the BodyTalk Access class is not considered a "Practitioner", as this is not considered a professional training, Access can be a very important part of your daily wellness routine for use on friends and family. Healthcare professionals, such as nurses or EMTs, for instance, can of course incorporate the BodyTalk Access techniques into their practices.  It is not required to take Access before attending BodyTalk Fundamentals to become a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, but is strongly encouraged, as it will give you a good grounding in the philosophy and a few of the basic techniques used in the full BodyTalk System.  ATTEND A BODYTALK ACCESS COURSES IN CAPE TOWN  BodyTalk Students  BodyTalk students who have attended the BodyTalk course, but have not yet written their Practical and Theory Exams are known as BodyTalk practitioners, and generally charge a reduced rate for their services, whilst they are studying towards their certification.  They are always looking for people to practice with.  CLICK HERE TO FIND CERTIFIED BODYTALK PRACTITIONERS  Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (CBP) A Certified BodyTalk Practitioner has completed the fundamental coursework of the BodyTalk System, monitored that coursework, and proven to a Certified BodyTalk Instructor - in both a written and a practical exam - that they have mastered the material and the techniques of the System. A CBP has taken, as a minimum, BodyTalk Fundamentals but may have also taken any number of advanced courses or adjunct courses. Advanced Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (Adv CBP) In 2008 the IBA created an Advanced Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (AdvCBP) level. These practitioners have demonstrated their mastery of the more advanced BodyTalk material, including all advanced courses through Matrix Dynamics, including several of the adjunct courses. The Advanced CBP certification involves two in-depth written exams in order to demonstrate an understanding of the advanced material. When performing a search for a BodyTalk practitioner in your area. PaRama Practitioner  PaRama BodyTalk is the advanced work that Dr. Veltheim has been developing since 2004. PaRama BodyTalk Unit 1 and Unit 2 are DVD course lectures by Dr. Veltheim, that also have an accompanying Practical course for in-person review once the recorded lectures have been studied. These courses have expanded on the principles of the science of energy medicine and the biophysics that underpin why and how BodyTalk works. PaRama BodyTalk students use these new findings to go far deeper into the inner workings of the bodymind complex to bring about startling and long-lasting results. Enrollment in the PaRama BodyTalk coursework is open to any CBP that is an IBA member and has completed the Principles of Consciousness and Bio-Dynamics courses. There is a separate PaRama on-line discussion forum only accessible to PaRama students. There is a PaRama BodyTalk Practitioner Certification program under development. Currently, the designation, ParBP (PaRama BodyTalk Practitioner), reflects those who have completed all the requisite coursework. CLICK HERE TO FIND
